Met an interesting chap called Billy at dinner last night. He is 70, originally from Belfast but now lives in Lanzarote. Does the Camino every year.
21k from Salad to Tineo. Very difficult for me. I had a small stroke 4 weeks ago and it has left me with increased fatigue. We had a long climb first thing and I felt dead. I leveled with John and Susie who were great and I felt better. But this afternoon was a series of sharp climbs and very muddy tracks and now I feel exhausted and really wanting to go home. It's not like last year and the French way, every day exciting and much flatter. But I can't give up or I'm letting myself and Siobhan's memory down.
We stopped at a little chapel and I lit a candle for her. I hope it helps
