Since Siobhan’s passing, this project has become both our passion and our salvation. Ovarian cancer and the grief of loss are devastating in their own ways. Even at Stage 1, ovarian cancer has an 80% chance of survival after five years, but that still means 1 in 5 women will lose their battle. Unfortunately, by the time Siobhan’s cancer was diagnosed, it had already spread, and her survival chances dropped to 50%. When we flipped the coin, we lost.
Throughout this journey, Cudeca Hospice was a beacon of compassion and support. The incredible care they provided Siobhan during her final days made all the difference, and their emotional support for our family was invaluable. We are deeply grateful for the amazing work they do.
Our mission now is to raise money for Cudeca to help them continue their life-changing work and support other families facing similar challenges.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
With heartfelt thanks,
Steve and Olivia Eckersall
