Back on the road again. After a very pleasant stay in Oviedo, it was early start and back on the road for the first day of the next Camino, el Primitivo. So 120k done from Leon to Oviedo and now another 320 to Santiago and the finish line!
First stage, Oviedo to Grado 25k. As you can see, grey skies all day with a lot of rain in the morning. I was able to try out my new outdoor jacket, waterproof and breathable that I picked up in Oviedo (with John's approval of course!). 200 euro but worth every cent. I was able to keep dry while not too sweaty. Fog all day so it was very difficult to assess the scenery. We had a make shift picnic with bread, meat and a fabulous cheese that Sue had picked up yesterday.
A lot more pilgrims to chat to compared with the San Salvador which is nice. So far a lot of Japanese, German and Spanish.
Got into Grado and our apartment about 4. Initially, I was going to write Grado off as ugly, but like a lot of French towns, ugly industrialization on the outside and a cute traditional inner core. We're going out to eat soon so more useful facts tomorrow
