Monday being 20.5 would have been our 30th anniversary. I thought I would go upto the place where we scattered her ashes with an orchid plant that she always loved. I was going to plant it at the site and I had a trowel and water. But, the cable car was closed because of the wind, apparently not an uncommon occurence. So I brought it home and planted it with just a little of her ashes. I also put in some peacock flowers that she loved and some thistles that we picked at the site.
Happy anniversary darling, I will never forget you .

Now it all seems very real as we are on the final countdown. The town is ready for the annual Feria which means that I will not be able to get my car out until Sunday! Still it will be very loud and colourful and I will send more pictures before I leave. Ferias are very much a feature of Spanish towns, particularly in Andalusia. Most of the streets are covered to provide shade for food, drink, music and Flamenco. In some places, there are also bullfights but not here thank goodness. It gives me a good excuse to get on with my preparations. I started packing yesterday or at least trying to rationlise what I need over what I can carry. It is not going to be easy !!!
