So why move here ? As I sit here on the balcony outside our bedroom, looking over the beautiful Guadalhorce Valley with the sun beaming down from a perfect blue sky, the question is why not! Friends and relatives ask was it because of Brexit? well, I would be lying if I said that it wasn't a factor.

We both voted remain in 2016 and I remember we were lying in bed holding hands when the clock radio switched on to the news and we heard, We were devastated and from that moment on, the atmosphere in the whole country changed. I do not believe that any of the leading figures on either side can emerge with any credit. The amount of total rubbish spoken rather than discussing the real issues was an absolute disgrace. But, what is done is done and there is no going back. Neither side, the EU or UK can make that happen. We moved to Spain because Siobhan suffered from a form of Rheumatoid Arthritis and could no longer cope with the cold wet winters in the UK. We managed to get our residency just before the end of 2020 and we always plan to stay. I always will because I love this country
