13.6: Left Lugo and did 25k. Only 77k to go to Santiago

Very comfortable night in Lugo. Had a wander around the walled city, which is beautiful, and saw the preparations for the celebration of a battle between the Romans and Saxons with loads of folk in traditional dress and camps erected. Then we repaired to an Indian restaurant for a feast! Now the pilgrim fayre so far has been wholesome and delicious but nothing beats the flavours and spices of the subcontinent, those guys know how to cook!

This morning, we breakfasted on traditional coffee and churros for Sue's benefit as she is a newbie. Not sure she was convinced!

Before leaving, we did a circuit around the wall, it really forms a complete circle and looks great in the dawn light.

Long boring trail with too much road walking. The Camino mirrors life, sometimes hard and other times easy. Today was hard for me because I realized it was teaching me a lesson I hadn't expected. I thought I was well ahead on the recovery path but I'm not. I've got so much further to go. I don't know if I'll make it, too close to call. All I know is I'll be struggling on it for a long while. I hope for answers in Santiago.
