Well we made it up to Mount Calamorro on the cable car.

Fortunately, the weather had cleared and as you can see the skies were that beautiful blue that we here are so fortunate to have most days in Andalucia! I had forgotten how frightened of heights I am and found the way up terrifying. Olivia did her best to reassure me by killing herself laughing and shaking the car about to take photos.

Once we got up, my goodness, the views over the whole Costa from Malaga to Gibraltar are stunning. We thoroughly recommend it but it is a real tourist attraction. Even this early in the season, it took us about 30 mins to get to the cars. Journey up is about 15 mins. Book on line, you save about 3 euro per person, There was a reduction for 65+ (such as me) I had ID but she didn't even ask for it!! The cheek of her as Siobhan´s late Mum would have said. We had a recce about to look for a quiet spot but were a little despondent as there were lot of people about and with the breeze, we were worried that ashes flying around might cause a problem! Then we spotted a track heading back down and found a lovely spot that we had seen crossed by a baby deer. Mum helping us as usual. Think of us when we release our darling Siobhan to fly in the breeze over her beloved Costa del Sol for all eternity. It will be a relief because she has been stuck here in our house since the day after her funeral when we brought her home for the last time.
